Saw Lisa Wechel in a movie about the Civil War. She played a very sharp Southern Belle who charmed a nicely grown-up Donny Osmond. (Yes, he's gotten better iwth age!) The Wild Women Of Chastity Gulch I saw that one, and they would have made a cute couple if Donny wasn't already married. I have Lisa on tape in Twirl, and saw her in the last half of Skyward. I've seen Julie Piekarski jump into John Ritter's lap on Three's Company. I also have on tape Mindy in 1980's Reunion, starring Kevin Dobson and Linda Hamilton, in South Beach Academy with her brother Corey, and in The E! True Hollywood Story: Corey Feldman, Lost Boy Found. I think, but cannot confirm, that I saw Mindy in 1977's Christmastime With Mister Rogers and in the promos for Studio See on PBS back then. *And last but not least, your favorite New Mouseketeer and why? I wanted Mindy Feldman for a little sister! <g And you would have gotten Corey Feldman for a baby brother in the process! I think they would've made great siblings for someone to have, they certainly looked out for each other over the years. Joel D. After, the sampling reports came back Disney realized their mistake but, unfortunately the entire first season was already completed and markets to independent stations already sold & contracted. Also, Disney at the time was having finacial troubles and redoing an entire season & time to get it to independent stations on promised due date was not possible. The series only lasted one season and with low ratings to boot. It was one of the few television disasters in television history. A season for a weekday show is 65 episodes, Bill Cotter's book and most reference books list the NMMC as having 130 episodes (two seasons), the sole exception is Syndicated Television, which claims 190 episodes. Scott Craig in a recent posting to a discussion group explained that the first two months of production were scrapped by the Disney execs.largely because of the show's original producer Josh White, who had strange ideas. This explains the lost third season. I have news reports of not only high ratings, but fan mail in excess of 3,000 pieces a week, and the Cast Album had exceeded the Gold Record certification mark of half a million copies sold. Bill Cotter's book also mentions that the live shows at Disneyland were immensely popular. The news reports also state that incoming station revenue was short of covering the production costs by $3,000,000. That finally resulted in the end of production after two seasons. According to Syndicated Television, the shows popularity would have guaranteed its continued life in re-syndication reruns, but the one organization that the show was tailor-made to apppease
